Have you ever tried to make friends with 59 other people? (was a resident at the Cronyn-Warner transitional shelter) It was overwhelming... the whole experience... But luckily, we met a lady named Brenda, our Advocate Connections person, and she helped us fill out what seemed to be mounds of paperwork.

I'm so thankful for your tremendous support during this time. I cannot thank you enough, I am more grateful to you than you'll ever know. It has been an amazing big-heart taking efforts that you took time and resource to make sure that I have achieved everything I could need to be where I am today.

What Advocate Connections did for me was to secure me shelter at the Ark Aid Mission location. Then to the Warner location which was even more permanent. Simultaneously ordered identification, seeked health care for schizoaffective disorder. While working on a residential solution to being of no fixed address. Then became a new patient at a Family Doctor clinic. Arranged payment for Revenue Canada. Started a savings account. Arranged for dental work. Even received a new bike from this charitable organization. Please continue supporting us. Also in my recovery I have been able to volunteer at Metropolitan United preparing meals for our vulnerable less fortunate members of society. As well as a gardener at our Food Bank. While performing various precarious jobs.

Advocate Connections is a wonderful non profit social advocacy organization consisting of a very small group of dedicated volunteers based in London, Ontario, Canada. They assist poor and homeless people of all ages to connect with various government agencies at all levels in order to receive government ID, facilitate access to social assistance programs (public and private), and to transition from temporary shelter housing to permanent affordable housing. It is a superb organization that deserves public support.
